The Karamoja Women Umbrella Organization (KAWUO) continues to create opportunities that empower women, youth, and vulnerable communities across the Karamoja sub-region through leadership development, economic empowerment, advocacy, and community transformation initiatives.

This year, KAWUO is strengthening its efforts to support women and girls through career development programs, training opportunities, mentorship, and sponsorship initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting equal participation in development processes.

Career Opportunities

KAWUO provides opportunities that help women and young people build skills, gain experience, and participate in community development. These opportunities may include:

KAWUO is committed to supporting vulnerable women, girls, and community groups through sponsorship and empowerment initiatives focused on sustainable development and social inclusion.

Since its establishment in 2007, KAWUO has remained dedicated to promoting the participation of women in the development of Karamoja through advocacy, capacity building, networking, partnerships, and socio-economic empowerment.

The organization continues to believe that empowering women and girls is essential for building peaceful, resilient, and inclusive communities throughout Karamoja and beyond.
