Empowering Women Through Skills Development
In 2026, KAWUO supported women across communities in Karamoja through skills development and entrepreneurship training programs. Women gained practical knowledge in small business management, financial literacy, and vocational skills, enabling them to improve household incomes and support their families with greater confidence and independence.
Strengthening Women’s Leadership
Through leadership and advocacy training, KAWUO empowered women leaders and community groups to actively participate in decision-making processes. Women were equipped with the confidence and knowledge to advocate for their rights, participate in local governance, and contribute to community development initiatives.
Supporting Girls’ Education and Mentorship
KAWUO continued to promote girls’ education and mentorship by engaging schools, parents, and community leaders on the importance of educating and protecting girls.
